I live in Nelson, and have friends in the Canary Islands, where I am presently and looking to support them with planning ideas for their children age 11 and 10, one boy and one girl. The family will be coming to stay with us in the month of July. We are interested in the July 11 -15 camp and in particular, the father of the son, is looking for experiences for his son to have with other men and boys, can you give me an idea of how many children attend the camp, and if you have a sense of boys to girls ratio, or parents attending?
thanks

Thanks for posting this article. I deeply resonate with it. There is so much we could learn from our animal relations that can help us in our own healing - if we would only listen.

Great!
good advice, and described well.
It is easy to do in the desert, takes a bit more fore-thought in the forests.

Thanks for this great information. I would also like to recommend an extremely valuable and thorough survival book to add to your list written by renowned tracker and author, Tom Brown Jr. It is called "Tom Brown"s Field Guide to City and Suburban Survival". This is gives one a variety of detailed responses to emergency survival situations such as: alternative heat sources, preventing and coping with electrical failure, car survival techniques, protecting your home from intruders, unconventional food sources for the city dweller, surviving earthquakes, floods, blizzards, hurricanes etc., and guarding against urban crime. I found this book to be an invaluable resource for surviving in most emergency situations. It is a must read for anyone wishing to better themselves, their families, and their community!! Check it out!
